No One Is Broken: Spiritual Support for Parents of Children on the Spectrum
The challenges for children on the autism spectrum are usually obvious. The challenges for the parents are less obvious. Often overlooked while choosing the right therapies, schools, and vitamins are the parents themselves, who, in the process of raising these children, must confront fundamental questions about what it means to be human. Sometimes a parent’s worst stress comes not from driving to classes and therapies, but from the unanswered questions about happiness and intelligence and success and failure these children seem to ask simply by being who they are.
